Bitches … witches are crazy – Horrorfix Cinemax
Realm of Shadows, a new anthology thriller of the filmmaker Jimmy Drain, takes her on a unique journey. The story is told by several short films with a surrounding book in which the feature comes in the feature. Our main story revolves around the dagger of fate. Coven by witch tries to carry out a ritual while a priest tries to fight it from all over the country. So we enter the realm of the shadow … they did it, they said the matter, they said the name of the film. So let us break it up. There are a few spoilers in front of them, they were warned.
Mallicks Dreamlady
Have you ever been the guy who just can’t get the girl? All you need is a hairline and some bartender hoodoo. Who knew it was so easy.
Hike
I don’t have much to say about this segment. The guy from the previous story loses the girl because he takes too long to ask her how to marry him, except that I am pretty sure that it is not the same guy, and then he takes a walk … for eternity. But wait, everything was just a dream. I think I had more to say than I thought.
Ashamed
A better title could have been: “How to join a coven and lose friends in ten simple steps”. This rate takes a significant turn in the style and feeling of the overall function. I will only say that I was not aware of the tight tie between witchcraft and cocaine.
The introduction of Professor Kimmer
We are presented to Professor Dan Kimmer. If you come to this edition, you can say to yourself … “This type yourself looks familiar.” Ignore this thought and press through. This is Professor Kimmer. But I let you watch you without a spoiler. This is one of my favorites so far. But I will rename it. I call it “how to join a coven and make friends in ten simple steps, part deux”, get a crazy, oh I’m sorry, I my witches.
Corpse
Cadaver makes the claim that it is based on “true events”. If this is true, accession to a coven can really ruin your dancing career or start or wait for what the hell actually happens in this. I’ve seen it three times now. I don’t know. But it is shitty.
Meet Michael
For our sixth segment in the film we get an interesting version of a Boogeyman story with a nice turn. There are a few decent plunge and some legitimate tensions with only one hint of heebie jeebies. This is worth a watch.
Fate is wrong
Finally! We are back to our booking history and even better, Tony Todd, Vernon Wells, Harley Wallen and Mel Novak. All four actors can definitely be emphasized in this final, although their screen time is only a few minutes. The witches are also back, that’s cool, I think.
Overall, I felt the film as a whole very incoherently and incomplete. It felt very similar that pieces of the stories were missing. I have the feeling that parts of this film may have only made it to the tailor’s floor. Hey, I liked it much more than Skidamarick, this film was just unscheckable. However, take my word for nothing. Get the damned and look at this film yourself! Seriously. It’s on Tubi. The link is right there. Go! Look at it!
