John Carpenter to produce “John Carpenter Presents” Cinemax
The master of horror is about to make his return.
John Carpenter will executive produce an upcoming Elevation Pictures series titled John Carpenter presents, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. The series is created and presented by Michael Amo (Pure, The listener) and Will Pascoe (Black Orphan, Absence).
The article mentions that “the first season will be set in the Alaskan wilderness. As a diverse group of characters face a chilling mix of supernatural and existential terror, the anthology series will explore the hidden fears and social anxieties of our time.”
“We are thrilled to launch into the television space with the master of horror, John Carpenter,” Christina Piovesan of Elevation Pictures said in a statement Friday. “Will and Michael bring deep writing and showrunning experience and we couldn’t be more excited for this creative team to bring this series to audiences.”
