Skinamarink – rating? – Horrorfix Cinemax
Ok … then let’s get to the business right away. If you like floors, blankets and doors, yes if you love them, this is the right film for you. This film offers almost two hours of granular recordings of a dark house. To be honest, I don’t know what to say about it. We can continue with it and see what happens.
Well, here I would usually tell you what the film is about? Unfortunately I can’t. But why do you ask yourself? Oh, that’s because there is absolutely no story. No action. To make matters worse, there is almost nothing more interesting. But that’s not all, horror fans. Here is the big revelation. It is not scary. It was like a one -hour and forty -minute virtual house tour in the dark.
The next question I ask myself is: Could this film have been somehow good? Possibly. If someone in an alternative universe would add a story. The things I see and hear again and again to describe this film are: it is a child’s nightmare or it is a nightmare from a child’s perspective. I tell you the scaryest thing about this film is the lego bricks on the floor that someone could step on. The shit really hurts.
How would I have done it? Simply. At the beginning of the film there is a very short dialogue that is almost even audible. You hear a screaming child and then find out in a phone call outside the screen that Kevin fell down the stairs, but it should be fine. Here is the beginning of an interesting story. What should happen next, oh wiser? Kill the child. Yes, you read that correctly. Of course not on the screen, because in this film almost nothing happens on the screen. We would only find out at the end of the film that he was dead. The rest of the film would be that he haunted his house and the people remaining in it. You know we have a sixth sense. If you didn’t know that this happened in Sixth Sense, damn it, it is almost 25 years old. No matter, I don’t think even that would fix the problem.
I really don’t think it could improve anything. I saw it so that you don’t have to do it. I am angry because in the end I looked at it a few times just to write it down. Usually I would recommend you to look at it yourself. Not this time. Save time. If you want to waste 2 hours, you can simply watch the color dry. Actually that could have been in this film … look at “The Outwaters”. No, please not, it was just as bad. See you next time.
